David DeckerSensei David Decker is a 3rd Degree Black Belt (San Dan) in Nihon Goshin Aikido. For nearly twenty-five years, he has trained in the art under the direction of Sensei Robert B. MacEwen, Jr. Sensei Decker has participated in numerous public demonstrations of the art, and has conducted several self-defense seminars focusing on defenses against both armed and unarmed attackers. He has also trained in the arts of Koga Ryu Ninjutsu and American Nippon Jujutsu. Sensei Decker is married to a martial artist and has 2 kids, but he continues to share the art and has been teaching NGA for nearly 20 years. In 2009, he was inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine's Hall of Honors.

 

 

Ken MarvinSensei Ken Marvin is a 2nd Degree Black Belt (Ni-Dan) in Nihon Goshin Aikido and a 1st degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He joined the Martial Art in 1994 to help train his son. After the birth of his fourth son, he obtained the level of Sho-Dan. Then in 2000 he took over Martial Arts Center (est. 1994) and renamed it Martial Arts Studio. Mr. Marvin trains under San-Dan's, Mr. David Decker, Sensei and Ms. Maryanne Maffei, Sensei, as well as attending advanced classes with Yon-Dan, Mr. Robert B. MacEwen, Jr., Sensei. Sensei Marvin also has the Honor of attending Black Belt classes taught by Shihan, Mr. Richard Bowe. Sensei is a member of Action Magazine Hall of Honors.

 

 

 

Joseph DePaolo IIISensei Joseph C. DePaolo III is a 2nd Degree (Ni Dan) Black Belt in Nihon Goshin Aikido and a second degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He began training in the Martial Arts in 1997. Also a family man with three children, he makes time to teach while training under Mr. David Decker, Sensei. Mr. DePaolo attends advanced classes with Yon-Don, Mr. Robert B. MacEwen, Jr., Sensei and also has the honor attending Black Belt classes taught by Shihan, Mr. Richard Bowe. He teaches class for Adults in NGA and children in both arts. In 2009, Sensei DePaolo received the Action Martial Arts Magazine's Hall of Honors Awards for Outstanding Achievements in Martial Arts.

Kris MarvinSensei Kristopher D. Marvin is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Nihon Goshin Aikido. He has trained since the age of 5 and earned his Sho-Dan at age 16 (the youngest possible age in NGA). He has been helping teach children's classes for 9 years and adult classes for 3. Kris will be attending NJIT and helping out at the Nutley Dojo.
